On June 1, 2026, the XFER team joined supporters from across the region at Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center in Plymouth, Michigan, for the annual First Step Golf Outing. As a tee sponsor and foursome participant, we were glad to spend the day on the course for a cause that hits close to home.

First Step serves Wayne County as a comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault agency, operating a 24-hour help line and a full range of programs supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. The Golf Outing is one of their signature fundraising events, and the turnout from the local business community each year reflects just how much this organization means to the people it serves.

"Events like this are a reminder of why community involvement matters," said Brandon Hartke, owner of XFER. "First Step does critical work every single day. Showing up to support them is the least we can do."
