We know you're used to us talking about firewalls and cloud solutions here in Livonia, but the XFER team took a festive detour across town to help kick off the holidays!

IT Nation is the premier global community conference for managed service providers like us, where professionals gather to collaborate and share what we’ve learned. This year’s conference was held in Orlando, Florida, from November 5th through the 7th, with over 3,700 people in attendance.

Our mission goes far beyond providing exceptional managed IT services and technology consulting for businesses. While we’re obsessed with helping your company grow and succeed, we’re equally committed to supporting the health and well-being of our community. This past Friday, October 17, 2025, our team was honored to be an Ultraviolet Sponsor for the annual First Step "You Are the Light" Gala, a powerful event dedicated to ending intimate partner domestic violence and sexual assault.

The night was a resounding success, raising over $309,000 for a critical cause!

Once again, 100 scarecrows have descended on Plymouth’s Kellogg Park, first appearing on September 26 and remaining until November 2. We encourage you to stop by and review the many clever and creative scarecrows posted around the park… particularly ours!

Cass Community Social Services does quite a bit for the communities of Detroit, from providing tiny homes to combat homelessness, to teaching skills to help those in need find stable employment. From our perspective, their mission of fighting poverty, creating opportunity, and building community is not only admirable but critically important.

We had the privilege of having a team of 12 help Cass with the odd jobs that these responsibilities create during their latest Volunteer Day… namely, helping to maintain their landscaping.

The XFER team was out on the course, enjoying a beautiful day of sunshine and networking at the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce's Annual Golf Outing. The event, held on Monday, July 21st, took place at the magnificent Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center.

We were proud to sponsor and participate in the First Step Golf Outing held on Thursday, June 12, at the beautiful Fox Hills Classic in Plymouth, MI. This event supports First Step, a vital nonprofit agency that provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, offering safety, advocacy, and empowerment when it's needed most.

Las Vegas was the place to be from May 13-15, 2025, and XFER's CTO, John Gauvreau, was in the house at the SCALE Computing Platform 2025 event! Held at the Resorts World Las Vegas, the event promised a deep dive into all things SCALE, and it delivered.

It's time to celebrate spring with the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce at their "Spring Fever in the Park" event, and we're excited to be part of the fun happening at Kellogg Park in Plymouth!

We Enjoyed Our Time at the CASS Annual Dinner!

We’re proud to have supported a fundraiser that uplifts our community.

On Friday, the 21st, a few of our team members had the pleasure of attending the Cass Community Social Services Annual Dinner at St. John’s Resort on Five Mile Road. This dinner and silent auction helped benefit the community by fighting poverty and fostering opportunities for its members. Joselyn Benson, Michigan’s Secretary of State was a surprise guest with a few quick words to get the evening started.

DETROIT, MI — On January 23, local managed IT provider XFER and numerous other businesses supported this year’s edition of Soup City, the Coalition On Temporary Shelter’s fundraiser against homelessness and generational poverty at downtown Detroit’s Roostertail.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and XFER is thrilled to be part of the “Walk of Trees 2024” at Kellogg Park! This beloved local tradition transforms the park into a festive wonderland, with over 80 Christmas trees beautifully decorated by community groups and businesses.

Last week, two representatives from XFER traveled to Orlando, Florida, to attend IT Nation Connect 2024, one of the year's most important IT channel conferences. 

On November 8, the First Step - You Are The Light Gala was held at Laurel Manor, raising funds for a very worthy but heartbreaking purpose: to support and raise awareness of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

We’re Excited for the Chance to Bring the Spirit of Autumn to Our Community

If you noticed the 100 scarecrows popping up in Kellogg Park in Plymouth, don’t be alarmed… it’s simply a fun community activity we’re happy to participate in this year!

Once again, the XFER Communications family had a wonderful time at their company picnic on September 22 at Livonia’s Rotary Park. Our team members and their families came out to spend a pleasant day mingling with one another and enjoying the chance to socialize away from the office.

On September 9, XFER was at Plum Hollow Country Club to help support Cass Community Social Services in its fight against poverty and homelessness in Detroit. The organization’s efforts are invaluable, providing thousands of meals each week and delivering critical services like health and job programs to those in need around Detroit.

On Saturday, August 24th, four of our team members were at the Links of Novi, enjoying a beautiful course, quality driving ranges, and meals throughout the day. While we’ll keep our scores a secret, we will share that this event was a wonderful time.

We’re all about supporting our community, and when an opportunity arises that includes golf, food, raffles, and drinks… well, participating in it seems like a bit of a no-brainer.
